Below you will find several examples of poorly-designed slides. Below each example are reasons why the slide is poorly-designed.

  • Too much text - not easy to scan for key points
  • Visually uninteresting
  • No contrast between text and background

  • Imagery is overpowering and unreadable
  • Unclear of slide's purpose

  • Imagery and concept are too complex for quick scanning
  • Text is too small on graphic to be legible
  • Overall, the slide is very dark
